Itinerary

Day 1: Country of residence – Tashkent

Take a day-night flight. Night on board.

Day 2: Tashkent

Upon your morning arrival, you will be greeted by a driver at the airport exit.

Transfer to the hotel for check-in and some time to rest.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Tashkent, a city that beautifully blends Eastern charm with modernity, awaits your exploration.

Begin your tour with a visit to the Barak Khan Complex, followed by Hasti-Imam Square, the Kaffal Shoshi Mausoleum, the Juma Mosque, and the Moi Mubarak Madrasa, which houses the ancient Ottoman Koran.

Continue to the Chorsou Bazaar, renowned for its grandeur and striking blue dome.

Lunch at a local restaurant in the capital.

In the afternoon, explore Independence Square and its Memorial Monument, a vast area dedicated to official events and major annual celebrations. Visit the Alisher Navoi Opera and Ballet Theater, designed by Chussiev, the architect behind Lenin’s Mausoleum in Moscow.

Discover the Tashkent Metro, where each station is adorned with symbolic artwork representing the country.

In the evening, visit the Tashkent Radio and Television Tower, the 11th tallest in the world at 375 meters.

Day 3: Tashkent – Urganch – Khiva (40km~30m transfer and visits)

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, a driver will pick you up and transfer you to Tashkent Airport for your flight to Urganch. Upon arrival at Urganch Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel to drop off your luggage. (Please note that rooms are available from 2:00 p.m.)

Khiva, known as the "Castle City" with its enchanting Itchan Kala, embodies the atmosphere of the fairy tale "One Thousand and One Nights." As one of the oldest cities in the region, it is remarkably well-preserved and ready to reveal its many wonders.

Begin your city tour with a visit to the Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah and the striking Kalta Minor Minaret near the Ota Darvoza Gate. Continue exploring with a visit to the Kouhna Ark Fort, which includes the Juma Mosque, the throne room, and the chancellery, followed by the Madrasa of the poet Khan Muhammad Rahim, also known as Feruz.

Enjoy lunch at a quaint restaurant with a terrace.

In the afternoon, discover the Tash Khauli Palace, or "Stone Palace," including its Haram, and explore the Ollakulikhan Madrasah and Caravanserai. Visit the Juma Mosque, famous for its 218 intricately carved wooden pillars. Also, see the Islam Khoja Madrasah, notable for its tallest minaret in Khiva, and the Mausoleum of Pakhlavan Mahmud, with a continuation to the Mausoleums of Syed Alauddin.

Spend your evening free for personal exploration.

Day 4: Khiva – Bukhara (450 km drive ~ 7 hours drive)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 9:00 AM, a driver will pick you up and take you on a scenic drive through the red sands of the Kizil Kum Desert. Along the way, you’ll pass rice paddies and explore the agricultural landscape of Khorezm, depending on the season. Enjoy views of the Amu Darya River, a striking blue ribbon in the desert.

Stop for lunch at a café along the route.

In the afternoon, continue your journey to Bukhara, arriving by late afternoon. Check into your hotel.

Savor dinner featuring traditional Bukhara cuisine.

In the evening, take a leisurely night walk through the historic old town of Bukhara.

Day 5: Bukhara (walking tours)

Begin your exploration of Bukhara, a renowned center of Islam and an intriguing caravan city with its narrow, winding streets. Start with a visit to the Tomb of Ismail Samani, one of the city’s oldest and most significant monuments, followed by the Mausoleum of Chachmaï Ayub. Discover the Bolo-Khauz Mosque, notable for its twenty-columned porch, and the Ark Fortress, the historic seat of Bukhara’s kings.

Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in the old city center.

Continue your tour at Poy-Kalyan Square, home to the Miri-Arab Madrasah, the Kalon Mosque, and the Kalon Minaret. Explore the Ulugh Beg and Abdulaziz Khan Madrasahs, and visit Tok-i-Zargaron (the Jewellers' Domes) and Tim Abdoullah Khan, where you can find exquisite hand-woven silks. Visit the Magok-i-Attari Mosque, one of the city’s oldest mosques, built on the site of an ancient Zoroastrian temple.

Pause for a tea break to enjoy traditional Bukhara spiced tea in a classic tea house.

Explore the Lyabi-Khauz area, the city’s central hub, featuring the large khauz (pool), Koukledoch Madrasah, Khanaqah, and Nadir Devonbegi Madrasah. Conclude your visit with the Tchor Minor Madrasah, tucked away in the old city districts.

Day 6: Bukhara

Continue your exploration of Bukhara with visits to its notable external monuments.

Start with a visit to the Mausoleum of Bahauddin Naqshbandi, an important religious site and revered ensemble dedicated to a prominent Islamic figure.

Next, explore the summer residence of the last emirs of Bukhara, Sitora-i Mokhi Khosa.

Return to the old town for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time for personal exploration and discovery.

In the evening, dine at the Nadir Devon Begi Madrasah, where you’ll experience a traditional Uzbek dance performance and a dress parade in the madrasa courtyard.

Day 7: Bukhara – Guijduvan – Sarmishsay – Nurata – Yurt camp (300 km ~ 5 hours by car)

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, set out towards your home camp. En route to Bukhara, visit the charming town of Guijduvan, renowned for its pottery traditions and handicrafts. Explore the pottery workshop of Master Abdullo Narzullayev and his family, where you can observe the intricate process of ceramic creation and learn about traditional embroidery techniques.

Try your hand at baking Uzbek bread in a traditional clay oven with Mr. Narzullayev.

Continue your journey and stop at the Sarmish-Soy area, located on the southern slopes of Karatau, about 30-40 km northeast of Navoi. This region is famous for its petroglyphs. Discover over 4,000 ancient rock carvings, which provide a panoramic view of life from the 9th millennium BC to the 18th century AD.

Lunch will be served on the way, in the Nurata region.

In the afternoon, visit the town of Nurata, home to the ruins of Alexander the Great’s fortress and the sacred spring "Chashma."

Proceed to your yurt camp. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and enjoy a camel ride at sunset.

In the evening, savor dinner with an aperitif, accompanied by traditional songs from an Akin (Kazakh troubadour) and dances performed by local camp groups. Spend the night under the stars.

Note: This yurt camp is a tourist facility with 15-20 yurts, accommodating 4-6 people per yurt. The camp offers 6 showers, 4 European toilets, and 4 local toilets.

Day 8: Yurt camp – Samarkand (270 km ~ 4 hours drive)

In the morning, depart for Samarkand. Arrive in Samarkand around noon.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and drop off your luggage.

Lunch at a local café to savor the traditional flavors of the city.

Samarkand, renowned for its rich history and pivotal role on the Silk Road, offers a fascinating glimpse into its storied past. Begin your exploration at Registan Square, the heart of the city, once a bustling center with a bazaar and home to three impressive madrasahs: the Ulugh Beg Madrasah, the Sherdor Madrasah, and the Tilla-Kori Madrasah.

Next, visit the "Gur-i Amir" Mausoleum, initially constructed as a madrasa by Timur's grandson but later converted into a mausoleum following Timur’s death.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner prepared by a local family. Experience the unique blend of Uzbek and Tajik culture and dialect that characterizes Samarkand’s population.

Day 9: Samarkand

Continue your exploration of Samarkand. Start with a visit to the Afrosiyab Museum, where you can marvel at the region's pre-Islamic frescoes. Proceed to the Mausoleum of Prophet Daniel, situated in the historic city of Afrosiyab.

Next, explore the first observatory built by Ulugh Beg, Timur's grandson, renowned for its advanced astronomical instruments.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Samarkand.

After lunch, visit a traditional paper mill to witness the paper-making process. We suggest sending a letter to your friends on this unique paper to share your journey with them.

Next, tour a silk carpet factory to observe the entire carpet production process, from dyeing silk threads to weaving intricate patterns.

At 6:00 PM, enjoy a cultural presentation at the El Merosi Theater, featuring historical costumes from the peoples of Central Asia.

Dinner will be at a local restaurant in town.

In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through Samarkand to experience its beautifully illuminated monuments. Enjoy the warm atmosphere where locals and visitors alike gather to relax and unwind.

Day 10 : Samarkand

Continue your exploration of Samarkand with a morning visit to the Shahi Zinda necropolis. This remarkable complex of monuments, beautifully preserved, highlights the intricate artistry of Islamic architectural decoration.

Next, admire the splendor of Bibikhanim Mosque, which was once the largest mosque in Central Asia.

Experience the lively atmosphere and rich flavors of the East at the historic Siyob Bazaar, conveniently located next to the mosque.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Samarkand.

In the afternoon, you’ll have free time for personal exploration, allowing you to discover more of Samarkand’s unique attractions at your own leisure.

Wrap up your day with a farewell dinner at the esteemed "Samarkand" restaurant.

Day 11: Samarkand – country of residence (return flight)
